We at ROLDA know how to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs that have lived, suffered and survived on the streets of Romania. We want to share our knowledge with anyone who chooses to adopt a dog from aboard, whether from Romania or elsewhere. We applaud people who take this risk, who instead of buying a breed, take the leap to adopt a dog they most probably have never met, to give them a home they can only dream of.

We want these adoptions to be successful, no matter which organisation you chose to adopt through. All dogs are precious and deserve a loving forever home. We work with carefully chosen behaviourists who have years of experience helping people to overcome any difficult and unwanted behaviour they had to deal with their overseas rescue.

We are ready to provide free support to all Aussies who:

already adopted a dog from a local shelter and want to understand their dog better

need assistance for their pet who show some behavior problems

consider to adopt a dog in the future and want to be prepared for the big moment

are curious to learn about stray dogs behavior

Why Australia?

There are approx 2 million more pets than people in Australia.

65% of Australians households have at least 1 pet.

90% of Australians pet owners are seeing their dog/cat as a family member.

Sometimes, dogs’ behavior problems occur even in the case of experienced pets owners…

ROLDA has over 15 years experience handling and rehabilitating stray dogs. Every day, our team deals with big, medium and small dogs and each dog have its own personality.

While some rules apply to all dogs, special cases must be understood and treated individually.

Case study

From 10000 strays catch, we successfully rehabilitated 70% transforming them into safe pets. ROLDA would like to use the expertise and knowledge regarding how to handle scared, shy or difficult dogs, to help Australian animal lovers and those furry friends with social or behavior minor problems.

In the same time, we strongly advise you to seek local qualified help.
